CRYSTAL OF THE DAY – VARISCITE*

“VARISCITE”

NICKNAME: At one time, Variscite was actually called “Utahlite”. In instances in which samples found cannot be readily determined to be either Variscite or Turquoise, such samples are termed “Variquoise”.

COLOR(S): Variscite comes in a various shades of green (from light green to dark green). Due to its physical appearance, this crystal is sometimes mistakenly identified as either Turquoise or Chrysocolla.

METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES: This mineral grants its User the stabilization of the Heart chakra. Variscite can effectively change our way of thinking to accept joy as a normal part of our daily lives. Variscite anchors One to the Earth harmoniously in a purely positive way. It encourages us to face the past with courage and clarity.

WORKS IN ACCORDANCE TO CHAKRAS #: Vibrates to the #4 Chakra – the Heart.

CRYSTAL OF THE DAY – ZOISITE*

“ZOISITE”

NICKNAME: Originally referred to as “Saualpite” for the region in which it was discovered.

COLOR(S): Zoisite comes in a range of colors Specimens can be green, yellow, blue, or gray. If there are samples of ruby present, the ruby inclusions will be reddish or burgundy in color.

METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES: This crystal grants its User with the ability to achieve trance state. It facilitates the connection with other energies while simultaneously maintaining your own energy at a high level. Zoisite empowers us to dream, to perceive, to achieve, and to prosper: all without fear. It also supports and protects our heart.

WORKS IN ACCORDANCE TO CHAKRAS #: Vibrates to #1 and #4 Chakras – the Sacral and the Heart Chakras, respectively.

ASTROLOGICAL SIGN(S): Aries.

ELEMENT: Fire AND Earth.

IMPORTANT NOTE***: Zoisite is also referred to alternatively as Anyolite. These crystals are one and the same. Zoisite was first discovered by a Slovene Scientist named Baron Sigmund Zois von Edelstein in the Saualpe Mountains of Carinthia in 1805.

USE IN AN ELIXIR? Yes (though Zoisite contains trace amounts of Aluminum, it can be used safely as an Elixir).

“ALEXANDRITE”

NICKNAME: “The Chameleon’s Stone”, “The Stone of Good Fortune”, or “Stone of Change”.

COLOR(S): Alexandrite usually comes in a wide range of colors. Alexandrite can appear blue, green, bluish-green, red, brown, or reddish in color. It appears one color under natural light (bluish-green); and an entirely different color under incandescent light (reddish-purple).

METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES: This crystal inundates its User with joy. It facilitates the emergence of Divine Love and Higher Knowledge to anyone who holds it. Alexandrite enables us to become vessels of love and knowledge, gently prompts us to rely more on our own intuitive abilities, and helps us successfully overcome the lack of love and/or trust in our lives.
